A Better Alternative
Due to its properties, Matterra is an excellent innovation that replaces glass and non-biodegradable plastic cups. Matterra is impact-resistant and won't break.
Eco-Friendly
Multiple recycling and subsequent composting of Matterra is a much better alternative to single-use cups. Additionally, Matterra does not require energy recycling or disposal in landfills.
Versatile Use
Due to its design, Matterra is attractive for cultural events, presentations at fairs, and of course, for home use, as it is suitable for both cold and hot beverages and can easily be washed in a dishwasher.
Materials and Production Method
Renewable Resources
Raw materials for the thermoplastic composite are all from renewable sources, which have a much lower carbon footprint, significantly reducing environmental impact compared to fossil sources.
Raw Materials
The main raw material is polylactic acid, made from fermented sugar. The sugar is obtained from agricultural residues, ensuring that food resources for both humans and animals are not affected. An additive is the local hop processing residue, which gives Matterra its characteristic color.
The innovation is model-protected as a registered Community design and is protected at the EU level. National patent protection has been obtained for the innovation, named Low-Energy Injection Molding of Thermoplastic Biocomposites with Simultaneous Compounding and Controlled Morphology.

Shape
The shape of the mug is ergonomically designed to fit perfectly in the hand. At the height of the thumb, there is a relief of a fingerprint, reminding us that we leave our mark with every decision we make.
Three Valleys
At the center of the innovative product are three Carinthian rivers, Drava, Meža, and Mislinja, which are embossed, winding around the mug.
Connectedness
The story on the mug continues with the confluence of rivers and the surrounding rural areas, representing the unified connection and commitment of the company and the Matterra brand products to preserving the environment.

Damascus Metal
The Matterra Damascus Cup is a limited edition coffee cup with a handle made from Damascus metal. The result of damasking is a metal with distinct patterns created by layers and different metal compositions. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, Damascus metal has mechanical properties such as strength, durability, and wear resistance. By incorporating the Damascus pattern, we have elevated the level and exclusivity of Matterra.
